Copy the editing style of any video
Seen an edit you love? Genjitsu, in Split, studies it and rebuilds the same style with your own footage: where the cuts land, how fast they come, the text on screen and the song.
How it works
- Open Genjitsu from Home.
- Add the reference: the video whose edit you want to copy (up to 10 minutes).
- Add your footage: the clips and photos to build from.
- Optionally add notes: “use the beach clips for the fast part, end on my logo”.
- Click Start Genjitsu. You see the cost first; the finished edit opens on the timeline.
What Genjitsu copies
- Cuts and pacing: where each shot changes, and how fast.
- Text and captions: titles, caption style and timing.
- Song and beat: the same song, with cuts on the beat.
- Transitions and effects: zooms, flashes and speed changes.
Tips
Pick a reference about as long as the video you want, and give Genjitsu enough clips to fill it. You can keep refining the result with SplitIT afterwards.
Questions
Can AI copy a video's editing style?
Yes. Split's Genjitsu takes a reference video and your own clips and recreates the reference's cuts, pacing, text and song with your footage.
How long can the reference video be?
Up to 10 minutes in Genjitsu, and up to 5 minutes when you attach a reference in the SplitIT chat.
